Dr. Roy is an Agricultural Engineer. He is a dedicated professional with expertise in agricultural engineering; agricultural resources management, agri-environment, solid waste management, food processing and sustainable agriculture. He has authored/coauthored 52 research articles published in top-ranking peer reviewed journals, 5 book chapters published by reputed publishers, and he also has 50 articles presented in national and international conferences. Dr. Roy is the recipient of many national and international fellowships including Thai King’s Scholarship (Asian Institute of Technology); Monbukagakusho Scholarship (University of Tsukuba, Japan), JSPS Fellowship (National Food Research Institute, Tsukuba, Japan); Ontario Graduate Scholarship, and Dean’s scholarship (University of Guelph, Canada). He is a regular invited reviewer for top-ranking journals and grant programs. He has innovated several agricultural machinery (pineapple plant dressing machine, chopping machine for animal feed, and seed-cum-fertilizer distributor) for small-scale farm application in developing countries and an innovative bioreactor for syngas fermentation. He demonstrates strong interdisciplinary research capability, professional values and ethics. Dr. Roy’s area of interest are:
